About 30,000 students to learn in nine schools being built by Russia
About 30,000 students will be able to learn in nine schools that Russia is building in Kyrgyzstan. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk said, speaking at the Russian-Kyrgyz Interregional Conference.
«We are implementing the project on construction of nine joint Russian-Kyrgyz schools. And after the completion of this project, we expect that 30,000 students will learn in these schools,» he said.
It is noted that the largest number of teachers, including Russian language teachers, have been attracted to the republic. Ways to increase support for educators are discussed.
In the coming years Russia plans to build nine schools in all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A ceremony of laying capsules at the construction sites of schools in Bishkek, Batken and Karakol took place on September 1, 2023. Construction itself began in 2024. It is planned to build three educational institutions annually. The first three will be commissioned in 2025.
In June, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, informed the Chairman of the Russian Government, Mikhail Mishustin, that the intergovernmental agreement on the construction of nine schools in the Kyrgyz Republic had passed all three readings in the Parliament and was being prepared for signature by the president.
