Mayors of Bishkek and Ankara discuss reconstruction of Ataturk Park in Bishkek
Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliev and Mayor of Ankara Mansur Yavas laid flowers at the monument to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in the Ataturk Park located in the capital. The press service of the City Hall reported.
The event was also attended by the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Ruslan Kazakbaev and the Ambassador of the Turkish Republic to the Kyrgyz Republic Ahmet Sadık Dogan.
The heads of the two cities discussed the issue of reconstruction of the Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Park.
On site, workers of Bishkek Glavarkhitektura municipal enterprise presented a preliminary design of the reconstruction of the park.
«This park is very important for the municipality, our citizens and guests of the capital,» the head of the city added.
This is the first visit of the mayor of Ankara since 1992. Bishkek is also the first city visited by the mayor of Ankara after his election to the post in March 2024.
