Labour Ministry employees support mayor's initiative on using public transport
Employees of the central office and subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan supported the initiative of the City Hall and began to get to work on foot or by public transport twice a week. The press service of the ministry reported.
The goal of the initiative is to reduce traffic congestion and improve the environmental situation in Bishkek.
When asked by 24.kg news agency whether the mayor himself uses public transport, he replied that he goes on foot. But on Tuesdays and Thursdays, if he needs to go to residence, he takes buses No. 56 and 55.
«Every my trip is also a personal reception of citizens. Whoever finds out comes up and asks some questions,» he noted.
