Fiance of president's niece Lyazzat Nurkozhoeva detained for drugs
Law enforcement officers detained Aftandil Sabyrbekov on suspicion of selling drugs, sources in law enforcement agencies told 24.kg news agency.
Aftandil Sabyrbekov is the fiance of the niece of the country’s president, Lyazzat Nurkozhoeva, who recently proposed to her by renting a helicopter from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic. After the video from the event caused a wide public outcry, the head of state had to apologize for the wastefulness of his future son-in-law.
The sources added that Aftandil Sabyrbekov has already been placed in a pre-trial detention center.
