Sadyk Sher-Niyaz asks France to write off Kyrgyzstan’s external debt
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to France Sadyk Sher-Niyaz met with the Director of the Department of Bilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of France Fanny Labarthe in Paris. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The Ambassador informed about important internal political changes in Kyrgyzstan, they discussed a wide range of issues of Kyrgyz-French bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Sadyk Sher-Niyaz focused on the need to develop trade, economic and investment relations through the conclusion of agreements, as well as organizing the next Kyrgyz-French Business Forum in Bishkek.
Taking into account France’s efforts to improve the climate and ecology in the world, Sadyk Sher-Niyaz proposed considering the issue of writing off external debt in exchange for green projects.
The parties positively assessed the participation of French companies in the implementation of economic projects in Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, Fanny Labarthe expressed France’s readiness to cooperate in the joint implementation of large projects in Kyrgyzstan in the field of hydropower and tourism.
The parties confirmed their readiness to make joint efforts to further expand trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and France.
