Activists to hold campaign for trolleybuses in Bishkek
Activists invite citizens to take part in a peaceful campaign «The Last Trolleybus». Its organizers, #BishkekSmog initiative, reported.
«We will stand at the Philharmonic Hall bus stop and wait for that very beloved trolleybus, which may never come again, as a tribute to the memory of the almost century-old history of the greenest transport, to all employees of the legendary Bishkek Trolleybus Department and as a sign of disagreement against such a decision of the City Hall, which will cause big consequences for the city,» they noted.
The activists added that if someone asks, then answer: «We are waiting for a trolleybus, which may never come again.»
Earlier, activists held a photo walk and exhibition.
The City Hall of Bishkek proposed to transfer 100 trolleybuses to Osh, and to dismantle the contact network in Bishkek, which caused concern among some city residents.
