Japan to help improve roads in Batken region
An agreement was signed in Japan on improvement of roads in Batken region. The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the Ministry of Transport and Toyota Tsusho Corporation signed an agreement within the framework of the grant project «Improvement of equipment for maintaining roads and road surfaces in Batken region.»
As part of the project, 48 units of modern road construction equipment, an asphalt concrete plant and stone crushing equipment will be purchased.
Deputy Minister Yrysbek Bariev met with the management of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of his visit to Tokyo. The parties discussed issues of expanding partnership and implementation of projects.
