Parliament of Kyrgyzstan relieves head of National Bank of his post
Parliament of Kyrgyzstan relieved Kubanychbek Bokontaev of the post of Chairman of the National Bank ahead of schedule.
The deputies considered the resignation letter of the head of the bank and approved it. Kubanychbek Bokontaev had headed the National Bank since 2021.
According to sources of 24.kg news agency, the head of the Accounts Chamber Almazbek Akmatov and Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Melis Turgunbaev have been proposed as candidates for the vacant position of the National Bank Chairman.
