Salaries of doctors in Kyrgyzstan to be increased by 50 percent from September
Deputy Minister of Health Mederbek Ismailov said at a meeting of the Committee on Social Policy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan that doctors’ salaries would be increased by 50 percent starting from September this year.
According to him, the salaries of nurses will be increased by 20 percent, and junior medical staff — by 10 percent. So, for example, the salary of a doctor at a Family Doctors Group after the increase will average 35,000-36,000 soms.
Deputy Vinera Raimbachaeva said that it was not enough and it needs to be increased to at least 50,000 soms. «In general, the Minister of Health promised that doctors would receive 80,000,» she recalled.
The deputy head of the Ministry of Health also informed deputies that by January the ministry plans to review the staffing schedule and workload of medical workers.
