Opening of new Bedel checkpoint on border with China to cost 77.9 million soms
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan submitted to the Parliament a bill on ratification of the intergovernmental agreement on the opening of a new Bedel checkpoint on the border with China.
It is planned to allocate about 77.9 million soms (approximately $896,000) from the country’s budget for the creation of Bedel checkpoint.
The authorities justify the need to build a new checkpoint by the fact that it will reduce the time of delivery of goods from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China compared to the existing transport corridor Kashgar — Torugart — Naryn — Bishkek.
It is also expected that trade turnover with China will increase several times.
