Films to be screened for free in villages and on jailoos of Kyrgyzstan
The social project «Hurray, Cinema!» is being launched in Kyrgyzstan. Its authors told 24.kg news agency.
The project was initiated by a photographer from St. Petersburg Ruslan Bogatyrev.
«Hurray, Cinema!» is a nomadic open-air cinema that will travel in the summer throughout the highlands of Kyrgyzstan, organizing free film screenings in villages and on jailoos (pastures).
«Access to art is very important, especially in regions of the country where such opportunities are significantly limited. «Hurray, Cinema!» strives to eliminate cultural inequalities and enrich people’s lives by offering an immersive experience in the world of cinema, promoting spiritual development,» the authors noted.
«To get started, I planned two amazing nomadic cinema trips. The first will cover part of Naryn and Issyk-Kul regions, and the second will pass through as many as four regions: Naryn, Jalal-Abad, Talas and Chui regions,» Ruslan Bogatyrev posted on social media.
