Money from sale of Ak-Kula hippodrome to be used to solve problems in Bishkek
Funds from the sale of Ak-Kula property complex will be used to solve social problems in Bishkek. Mayor of the capital Aibek Dzhunushaliev announced at a joint meeting of the parliamentary factions Ata Jurt Kyrgyzstan, Ishenim, Yntymak and Mekenchil parliamentary group.
He made a report to deputies on the socio-economic situation in the capital and the work done by the municipality within the framework of administrative-territorial reform.
The mayor noted that the auction for the sale of municipal property had not been held for 1.5 years and did not generate income.
«One of the main tasks of replenishing the local budget this year is the expected income from the sale of land of Ak-Kula hippodrome. We are currently selling 37 plots at auction. We plan to use the money to solve acute social, housing and communal problems of the city,» he said.
The first auction for the sale of Ak-Kula hippodrome was supposed to take place on May 16, but it did not take place due to a lack of bids. The property complex has been put up for auction again.
