Women's clandestine religious training center closed in Razzakov
The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) together with the State Commission for Religious Affairs suspended the activity of the religious training center An-Nisaa in Razzakov, Leilek district. The press center of the state committee reported.
According to it, the training center was conducting religious classes for women and teenagers without being registered with the State Commission for Religious Affairs. In total, about 60 women were trained there, about 40 of whom were teenagers.
The SCNS department for Batken region, together with the Department of Internal Affairs of Leilek district, is conducting investigative and operational activities. An examination has been ordered regarding the religious literature confiscated from the training center.
The SCNS calls on citizens not to visit religious organizations that operate illegally without official registration.
