Tourism Support Fund announces need to develop southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake
Tourism Development Support Fund intends to develop the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake. Its head Kudret Taychabarov said at the International Tourism Forum.
According to him, the tourism sector of the northern shore of Issyk-Kul lake does not need advertising, new contracts and agreements. All facilities there are booked up until September.
«That’s why we direct all our funds and opportunities to the development of the southern shore. New projects are being developed there. The Ministry of Transport is building a new road, the tourist flow will increase after that,» the head of the Tourism Development Support Fund believes.
He added that Sakazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon and Dead Lake were transferred to the Fund. Construction of facilities and infrastructure development are planned on the southern shore.
«We plan construction of Tosor recreation area, there will be a facility for health improvement, that is, foreign countries will be able to hold sports camps there. We also have plans to accept transfer of the ecological post at the entrance to Balykchy, all ecological fees from there will be directed to Issyk-Kul region,» Kudret Taychabarov said.
