IOC approves flag and anthem for neutral athletes at 2024 Olympics
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has approved the flag and anthem for individual neutral athletes at the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris. IOC website says.
The anthem has no words and was created exclusively for the Games. It will be played if such athletes win gold medals.
However, awards won by neutral athletes will not be displayed in the Games’ medal table.
Russian and Belarusian athletes, in particular, will be able to compete in the neutral status.
