Average salary in Kyrgyzstan reaches 54,864 soms

The average salary in Kyrgyzstan for the period of January—July 2026 (the data are released with a one-month delay) reached 54,864 soms. This was announced at a press conference held by the National Statistical Committee.
It is noted that in July of this year (compared to July 2025), the average monthly nominal accrued wage at enterprises and organizations across all economic sectors rose by 28.5 percent.
Taking into account the 11.5 percent annual inflation rate over the seven-month period, the growth in real terms was approximately 17 percent. Furthermore, the take-home pay is lower once all taxes and insurance contributions are deducted.
The average salary in June stood at 53,759 soms. According to official data, the month-on-month increase reached 2.05 percent.
Based on the results for July 2026, the most significant year-on-year salary increases occurred in the following sectors:
- arts, entertainment, and recreation — 1.5 times;
- healthcare and social services — 46.6 percent;
- education — 43.3 percent;
- professional, scientific, and technical activities — 35.2 percent;
- agriculture, forestry, and fishing — by 32.9 percent;
- water supply, waste treatment and processing, and recovery of secondary raw materials — by 29.6 percent.
The number of officially registered unemployed people in the republic for the period of January—August of this year stands at 37,000. This is 16.3 percent lower than in 2025.
