Amphitheater opened in Bishkek’s Panfilov Park, weekend concerts planned
A new amphitheater was opened in Panfilov Park in Bishkek, where free cultural events and concerts are planned on a regular basis, the capital’s City Hall reported.
Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev attended the opening ceremony. He said the venue was designed not only as a place for residents to relax but also to revive the tradition of holding music and dance evenings in the park.
“Our task is to focus not only on developing streets, building schools and improving infrastructure, but also on the cultural and spiritual development of residents. We want residents and visitors to the capital to be able to come here, relax and enjoy music and cultural events,” the mayor said.
Concerts featuring professional artists and folk performers are planned for Fridays and Saturdays. The programs will be organized by Bishkek City Hall.
On other days, the venue will be available for public gatherings and cultural events.
The municipality expects the new amphitheater to become a regular recreation spot and a venue for city events.
