Water shortage: Three artificial glaciers created in Batken region
Three artificial glaciers have been created in Batken region. The office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the region reported.
The glaciers are created as part of projects aimed at combating the effects of climate change.
It is noted that artificial glaciers are considered as a way to solve the problem of water shortage in pastures. Their purpose is to improve conditions for pastures, provide the livestock with water in the early spring, and provide arable land with moisture.
Earlier, an artificial glacier was also created in Orozbekov aiyl aimak of Kadamjai district as part of a pilot project.
