Procedure of issue of certificates for cryptocurrency mining changed
The procedure for registration and issuing certificates for cryptocurrency mining activities in Kyrgyzstan has been changed. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, signed a resolution on amending some decisions in the field of virtual assets turnover.
The document was developed in order to stimulate the development of the virtual assets market and protect the rights/interests of investors and is aimed at achieving such objectives as creating a favorable environment for the inflow of investments into the economy, correcting inaccuracies and gaps in the legislation in the field of virtual assets turnover, regulating issues of preventing the use of virtual assets in money laundering and terrorism financing, stimulating the further development of the virtual assets market.
According to the changes, the requirements for virtual assets trading operators are increased, as well as an update in the activities of virtual assets exchange operators, the regulation on the issue of virtual assets and the procedure for registration and issue of certificates for cryptocurrency mining activities have been adjusted.
