Advertising of fortune telling, magic, shamanism prohibited in Kyrgyzstan
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a list of magical services, the advertising of which is prohibited in Kyrgyzstan. Official website of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Any type of advertising of clairvoyants, fortune tellers, spiritualism, divination, shamanism, incantations, hexing and other procedures of «magical influence» is prohibited in the country. This list also includes «non-accredited healing».
On June 19, President Sadyr Japarov signed the Law «On Amendments to the Law «On Advertising».
The document was adopted by the Parliament on June 12, 2024. It provides for a ban on advertising of occult and mystical services and persons providing them.
The law is aimed at eliminating the manipulation of citizens’ consciousness in the field of providing services by any occult, magical and other unreliable methods offering a solution to certain problems for their own benefit.
