MFA asks Switzerland for visa-free regime for official passports holders
Director of the Consular Department of the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan, Seitek Zhumakadyr uulu, met with the Consul of the Swiss Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, Christophe Godin.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere.
«Seitek Zhumakadyr uulu informed that the Kyrgyz Republic attaches great importance to concluding agreements with foreign countries on mutual abolition of visa requirements and facilitating the stay of Kyrgyzstanis abroad, and expressed a request to consider the proposal of the Kyrgyz side to conclude an additional protocol to the bilateral agreement on a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports in terms of including holders of official passports,» the statement says.
Recall, the agreement between the governments of the two countries on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports was signed on September 20, 2016 in New York.
The Embassy of Switzerland in the Kyrgyz Republic is authorized to issue visas to the following countries: French Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia.
