Measures against poaching strengthened in Chui region
Measures against poaching have been strengthened in Chui region. The press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Kyrgyzstan reported.
At least 11 violations of hunting rules were registered in the region from November 7 to November 10.
«The total amount of fines reached 116,000 soms, and the damage caused is estimated at 52,000 soms, including the illegal capture of 10 pheasants and 1 partridge,» the ministry said.
A case of illegal hunting of wild boar was revealed in Jaiyl district in Bukhta Gorge — carcass and meat of the animal were found. The case materials were transferred to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
The Ministry of Natural Resources added that these figures could be even higher, because not all the facts of violations have been revealed. Therefore, given the increasing cases of poaching, the ministry is strengthening measures to protect nature in the region.
