Sadyr Japarov urges to support Palestinians and open humanitarian corridors
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov spoke at an extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The press service of the Presidential Administration reported.
During his speech, he noted the importance of cohesion and solidarity of the Muslim world and emphasized the need for active action to end the conflict in the Middle East.
The head of state recalled that a year ago the OIC participants had already called to stop violence against the Palestinian people. However, according to him, the situation has not changed and military actions have only intensified. The President expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for organizing the summit and striving to find ways to resolve the conflict.
«The Kyrgyz people deeply empathize with the Palestinians and Lebanese, who suffered as a result of the conflict,» Sadyr Japarov said.
He stressed the need for international condemnation of the deaths of civilians, including women and children, and called on the leaders of the participating countries to appeal to the UN Security Council and General Assembly to stop the violence.
In his speech, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic offered to support international efforts on organizing negotiations between the parties to the conflict and promote the idea of «two states». He also noted the importance of providing humanitarian aid to the population of Gaza.
«Due to the onset of winter, it is necessary to call on the Israeli government to open border crossings for the delivery of humanitarian aid and provide access to the population of Gaza,» he added.
Kyrgyzstan has already repeatedly provided humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of our brothers in Gaza and continues its efforts to provide it.

Concluding his speech, Sadyr Japarov called on the present leaders to do everything possible to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and assured that Kyrgyzstan is ready to support any efforts aimed at achieving a just and sustainable peace in the region.
