Doctors in regions are paid up to 100,000 soms — Minister of Health
Doctors in the regions of Kyrgyzstan receive up to 100,000 soms per month. The Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social policy.
Deputies are considering in the second reading the bill by Aisuluu Mamashova and other MPs, which prohibits the heads of state hospitals from working in private clinics.
The Minister of Health noted that he supports the initiative.
«I ask you to amend the law, because clans are currently operating in hospitals. In the morning, doctors examine patients, and in the afternoon they send them to their private clinics. We must stop this,» he said.
Member of Parliament Yrysbek Atazhanov responded by saying that patients go to private medical institutions due to a shortage of beds in state hospitals, and doctors — due to low salaries. Therefore, he believes it is wrong to prevent doctors from working in commercial institutions.
«Twenty new hospitals are being built across the republic. They will be completed within a year. Then we will cover all needs. Doctors earn from 80,000 to 100,000 soms in the regions. Now we just need to raise salaries in Osh and Bishkek. We have already submitted a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers,» Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.
According to Deputy Minister of Health Kaarmanbek Baidavletov, to date, four heads of state hospitals have their own private medical institutions. At least 88 heads of departments work in commercial clinics.
