Center of Bishkek to be closed to traffic on November 2
A festive event will be held in the central square of Bishkek in honor of the Day of Cultural Workers on November 2. The press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic informed 24.kg news agency.
The festive concert on Ala-Too Square will begin at 6 p.m. Popular Kyrgyz pop stars will perform there.
«This holiday is a tribute to everyone who has dedicated their lives to the development and preservation of the cultural heritage of our country. Come with your whole family to celebrate this important day together and support the cultural figures of Kyrgyzstan,» the Ministry of Culture noted.
The press service of the Department of the Patrol Police Service of Bishkek told 24.kg news agency that a part of Chui Avenue from Erkindik Boulevard to Panfilov Street will be closed from 5 p.m. due to celebrations.
The department asks city residents and guests of the capital to plan their routes in advance.
