The second wave of COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan may last until midwinter. Deputy Minister of Health of the country, Nurbolot Usenbaev, announced at a meeting of the Parliament.

He noted that it was difficult to make long-term predictions for the spread of coronavirus infection. «We make forecasts based on advice and information from WHO, Rospotrebnadzor. Pneumonia worsens when seasonal flu spreads. The flu outbreak usually occurs in December. According to our forecasts, the coronavirus infection cases will also increase starting from November 20 and will last until December-January,» Nurbolot Usenbaev said.

The Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev urged to step up sanitary requirements. «If we do not introduce preventive measures, it will be difficult to stop the spread of the virus,» he warned.
