Exchange rate of the U.S. dollar has grown by almost 1 som for half a day and is close to 83 soms in Kyrgyzstan.

The currency is bought for 82.1-82.55 soms, and sold for 82.5-82.8 soms. The nominal rate was set by the National Bank at 81.8 soms.

The dollar sharply appreciated last week. This forced the National Bank to intervene, selling record $ 42.4 million. This is the largest intervention in the past six months.
