One of the goals of the swim was to draw attention to the lake. They planned to hold it on August 2, but it was postponed due to bad weather. The athlete started the day before at 5.15 from Cholpon-Ata and after 13 hours 18 minutes, having covered 56 kilometers, he finished in Kadzhi-Sai. Previously, no one could do this.

Vitaly Khudyakov represents Kazakhstan. He is the Asian Open Water Swimming Champion, a participant of the Olympics.
