A rally for cancelling elections to the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan was to be held today on the central Ala-Too square in Bishkek.

Its participants intended to voice demands for introduction of a state of emergency and abolition of elections. In addition, the protesters planned to demand from the government to direct all the resources provided for the elections to medical care for the population.

However, six protesters were detained.
