Number of infected with coronavirus exceeds 9.5 million people globally
The number of people infected with novel coronavirus has grown by 179,691 globally over the past 24 hours. Data of an online map developed by scientists say.
In total, 9,586,769 people got infected with coronavirus. The highest number of the infected is in the United States (2,422,091), Brazil (1,228,114), Russia (613,148), India (473,105), the UK (309,455), Peru (268,602) and Chile (259,064).
Coronavirus cases have been reported in 188 countries.
As of today, the number of people who recovered from coronavirus exceeds 4,800,000. The figure grew by 92,589 people for a day.
At least 488,824 people died from the virus (growth by 6,662 people since Wednesday morning), including 124,410 people — in the USA, 54,971— in Brazil, 43,314— in the UK, 34,678— in Italy, and 29,755— in France.
At least 4,402 cases of coronavirus were registered in Kyrgyzstan, 19,285 cases — in Kazakhstan, 7,177 — in Uzbekistan, 5,691 — in Tajikistan.
