Drivers of interregional transport fined 201,000 soms for 5 days in Kyrgyzstan

Drivers of interregional transport were fined 201,000 soms for violation of sanitary and epidemiological standards. The head of the Department for Coordination of Transport Control of the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nurbek Kapetov, told at a press conference.

According to him, these fines were imposed for just five days — from June 20 to 25, through the Ministry of Transport — for 99,000 soms, through the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Department — for 102,000 soms.

A total of 2,800 units of transport were checked.

Nurbek Kapetov added that drivers must record passenger data on intercity routes. «In order we can find contact persons, if there is an infected citizen in the cabin,» he said.
