Smuggled goods for over 1 million soms detained in southern Kyrgyzstan
Customs officers detained smuggled goods for over 1 million soms. The State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.
A Volvo truck with a trailer was stopped in Uch-Bai village, Nookat district of Osh region. About 11,400 tons of dried fruit were found in the vehicle. They were imported from a neighboring state in violation of the customs legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The total average market cost of the detained goods reached 582,000 soms.
A Mercedes-Benz truck was stopped in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan when its driver was trying to illegally export goods from the territory of the EAEU to Tajikistan. Medicines and alcohol products without shipping documents confirming the legality of the export of the goods from the customs territory of the EAEU were found in the vehicle. The total average market cost of the detained goods exceeded 500,000 soms.
