Debt of Kyrgyzstan's energy sector on loans grows to 110 billion soms

Debts of the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan grew by 3.5 billion soms due to exchange rate differences. The head of the National Energy Holding Aitmamat Nazarov announced today at a meeting of the Committee on the Fuel, Energy Complex and Subsoil Use.

According to him, before the outbreak of the coronavirus and the growth of the U.S. dollar, the debt amounted to 106.5 billion soms, and it has reached 110 billion soms now. At the same time, 4 billion soms have been paid on loans of the energy sector in 2019 without raising the tariffs.
